Hire Neil Kenlock’s ‘Expectations’ Touring Exhibition
Neil Kenlock always had a vision to share stories from the Black British experience in the 1960s and 1970s through his images. Today his Expectations exhibition collection, which was launched on the 70th year anniversary of the Windrush and made possible by the Heritage Lottery Fund, is enjoyed by many.
Expectations explores three themes captured by Kenlock – Challenges, Collaboration and Change. Each concept examines the role of the community leaders in that period and the impact their leadership had on the community both locally and nationally. The selection consists of some historical, educational and artistic images, including his well known ‘Keep Britain White’ photo, that depicted the resistance to black immigration in the UK.
