Neil Kenlock’s ‘Expectations’ Book

As part of the Heritage Lottery Fund Expectation Project  Emelia Kenlock edited and published Neil’s first solo photo book titled ‘Expectations’. The book is a collection of his rare images taken from the project exhibition at the Black Cultural Archives and Islington Library.

The glossy photo book documents many untold stories, including names, dates, locations and events that were largely unknown. It also includes a special foreword by Baroness Howells of St Davids OBE, who is a politician, former member of the House of Lords and a dear friend of Neil.

The Expectations book is a useful tool for those who were unable to attend the exhibitions, doing research or just interested in learning more about black British history through photographs.
